Building Our Community

United Way partners with individuals and organizations to address critical human service needs in the Greater Richmond/Petersburg region. We work together to improve the quality of life for people by focusing on our community vision to:

  • Prepare Children for Tomorrow
Children and youth develop and learn supported by strong families in healthy, safe environments.

  • Stop Homelessness
Individuals and families who are homeless, or at-risk, obtain economic stability and safe, affordable housing.

  • Support Older Adults
Older adults will live with dignity, safety and independence.

Working together with a broad range of community partners, United Way understands our community's needs, and organizes solutions that achieve positive and lasting change. We raise funds and mobilize citizens to take action. And, we invest in quality programs and innovative initiatives that make a difference.

Together, we are bringing about solutions that are creating a better, stronger community for us all.
