Investing in Solutions

We believe the careful investment of funds in quality programs is one key component for achieving community impact.

Through the dedicated work of Action Councils, we understand our most pressing needs and invest dollars in programs that best address these needs and achieve our community vision. Together with more than 100 volunteer Council members, we:

  • monitor programs year-round
  • evaluate effectiveness
  • measure results achieved.

Therefore, United Way can validate that your investment achieves results and makes a difference where you live and work. Click here for United Way's Funding Criteria

Innovative Initiatives
Sometimes community needs are more complex than programs can tackle. These needs require action that influences change to an entire service delivery system. To achieve this level of change, United Way creates, incubates or supports innovative initiatives like Success By 6  and the Older Adults Partnership. Through these initiatives, we are able to harness the energy of community leaders and concerned citizens to effect change.
