What is the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC)?
EITC is a refundable federal income tax credit for low - moderate income working individuals and families. To qualify, taxpayers must meet certain requirements and file a tax return.

Do you qualify for EITC?
If you don't have children and your maximum income is less than $14,590, your credit maximum is $428.

If you have one child and your maximum income is less than $35,241, your credit maximum is $2,853.

If you have two children and your maximum income is less than $39,783, your credit maximum is $4,716.

Not a U. S. Citizen?
Immigrants who work and meet other guidelines may qualify. You will need a valid Social Security Number or an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).
