Committee Volunteering

Do you have a background in business or experience volunteering in Richmond or Petersburg?

Do you have a passion for local issues?

By becoming a volunteer involved with the governance of the United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg, you could have a hand in directing the organization, focusing on community needs, and making funding decisions.

Volunteers can become members of action councils, committees, and even the Board of Directors.

You don’t necessarily have to have a degree in social work or nonprofit management to make a difference at United Way – our volunteers are as diverse as our community.

We encourage you to apply by clicking any of the links above; However, completion of a Volunteer Interest form does not necessarily guarantee placement on a committee, action council or the Board of Directors.

You will be contacted within two weeks of receipt.  For more information, please contact edwardsd@yourunitedway.org

We thank you for your interest!
