The Healing Place of Richmond

The Healing Place of Richmond is an innovative program that assists chemically-dependant, chronically homeless men in reaching stability. The Healing Place is based upon the principles of the 12 Step program. One of the key tenets of the program is the belief that alcoholics and addicts have the capacity to heal each other. After its first two years of operation, the Healing Place produced outstanding results. 216 men completed the Recovery Program and 160 went on to the transitional phase of the program. 71% of the men are still clean, sober and off the streets one year after completing the program.
