From the 2010 Campaign Leadership
Dear Colleagues:
Henrico County is thrilled to lead the 2010 Local Government and Schools (LGS) United Way Campaign. As co-chairs, we are proud to be a part of this tremendous effort that continually makes such a difference in the lives of thousands of people throughout our region. It’s the unwavering support of generous government and school employees like you that makes it all possible and we thank you.
Our theme, LIVE UNITED, is an invitation to be a part of the change. It will take each of us working together to improve lives and bring about positive change in our community. So join us, and together we can ensure that children begin school ready to succeed, that individuals and families have financial stability and stable housing, and that older adults and their caregivers have the support and resources they need.
We know times are tough for many and that at every turn we hear about the challenges in our economy. As a result, our community’s critical needs are growing and our help is urgently needed. We encourage you to support this important effort – if each of us gives a little, we can make a big difference throughout our communities where it’s needed most. Remember, by utilizing the payroll deduction option, your contribution can be spread out over 12 months, and the withholdings won’t begin until January 2011.
Together, we can inspire hope and create opportunities for a better tomorrow. That’s what it means to LIVE UNITED.
