Free Conference for Nonprofits Set for June 8
The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond and its partners -- United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg, Nonprofit Learning Point and The Monument Group -- are holding a day-long workshop for nonprofit agencies called "Sharing Services to Build a Stronger Nonprofit Organization."
Local nonprofit agencies are invited to each send two people to the event, which will explore how shared services are used by organizations to create more efficiency in their operations.
The workshop will elaborate on professional services most often shared, how arrangements work, how to approach your board about sharing services with another organization, and what the trends show for the future. Experienced nonprofit organizations will share lessons and answer questions. You'll also from funders about how they view organizations that share services and find out what happens when organizations decide to merge operations entirely.
Date: June 8, 2012
Location: The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, 701 East Byrd Street, Richmond
Time: Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. The workshop runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
