Kindergarten Registration Campaign Recieves Award

The Public Relations Society of America has awarded United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg and Smart Beginnings Greater Richmond the Commonwealth Award of Excellence.

The award honors the Regional Kindergarten Registration awareness campaign, which United Way implemented on behalf of the region to raise awareness of school readiness and the regional kindergarten registration date.

National judges scored the campaign with excellent marks noting that it was impressive, well rounded and met national standards. This is wonderful recognition of a very effective effort that was pioneered in 2011 and continued in 2012.

It takes many community partners to spread the word about kindergarten registration. United Way and Smart Beginnings Greater Richmond wish to thank all of the partners that have made the campaign a success for two years in a row.
