Region's Early Childhood Work Receives National Attention

We thought you would be interested to know that the Richmond region’s work on the early childhood development issue has received national attention. The Harvard Family Research Project released a report in September called “Ready for Success: Creating Collaborative and Thoughtful Transitions into Kindergarten”. The report highlights success at building business and community coalitions and specifically notes the region’s successful kindergarten registration campaign on page 14.

The HFRP helps stakeholders develop and evaluate strategies to promote the wellbeing of children, youth, families, and communities. Their work focuses primarily on areas that support children’s learning and development. Underpinning all of their work is a commitment to evaluation for strategic decision making, learning, and accountability.
