Volunteer Interest Form - Board of Directors

The business and affairs of United Way are managed under the direction of the Board of Directors.  The Board members serve three-year terms.  Board members are expected to serve on a standing committee and/or task force.  The time commitment varies among members, but on average members provide 3 to 5 hours per month.  Current Board meetings are generally held at the offices of United Way unless otherwise notified. 


Key responsibilities include oversight of policies and finances of the organization, planning for the future of the organization, understanding and interpreting the work of United Way in the community, attending board meetings, and actively participating.  

Standing Committees of the Board: Finance, Audit, Benefits, Pension, Donor Relations, Public Policy and Investment.
