Young Leader Spotlight: Jermaine Broady

Jermaine Broady, of the Department of Public Utilities for City of Richmond, takes your questions and shares why he chooses to LIVE UNITED.

What made you want to become involved with United Way? How long have you been a member of United Way Young Leaders Society?

I became involved with United Way after working with my workplace campaign and introduced  to the Young Leaders Society and other programs. I wanted to get involved in the community programs with the youth and find ways of contributing in a personal way. I have been a member of the Young Leaders Society for 2 years now.

Fill in the blank: “If you really knew me, you’d know ___.” I love to help people and create new opportunities.

When are you the happiest? When I am on vacation

What qualities, talents, or skills do you look forward to contributing to the Young Leaders Society? Leadership, communication, teamwork, ideas of growth, and effective support for the organization and members.

What is your favorite locally-owned establishment in our region and why? At the moment I love Iron Clad Pizza. I believe they have the best pizza in the city.

If you ruled the world, what would you change on Day 1? I would remove all evil.
