United Way Announces Funding for Greater Richmond ARC’s New Location

April 21, 2018 – Today, United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg proudly announced its support for Greater Richmond ARC’s new location at 8030 Staples Mill. The new location is at the former site of A Grace Place, which closed in March, leaving approximately 150 individuals and their families to find new care providers.

“These clients and their families are important to United Way and the communities we serve,” said James L. M. Taylor, president and CEO of United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg. “It has been a pleasure to see John Walker and the entire Greater Richmond ARC team work so quickly to make this happen, and I am excited that United Way was able to play a significant role in supporting their work now and in the coming years.”

United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg has partnered with Greater Richmond ARC for many years. The funding announced today represents a special extension of Greater Richmond ARC’s funding, which was unanimously approved by United Way’s Board of Directors earlier this month.

ARC, at its new Staples Mill location, will provide Adult Day Support and Adult Day Health programs for former clients of A Grace Place who complete the enrollment process, as well as for those currently on ARC’s day support waiting list. Interested families should contact ARC’s intake specialist, Kris Smith at (804) 665-1283 or Kris.Smith@RichmondARC.org.
