Connecting people in need to places that can help, 24 hours a day, seven days a week
211 is a free, confidential referral and information helpline and website that connects people of all ages and from all communities to essential health and human services, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
A trained professional speaks to callers, learns about their situation and suggests sources of help — all using one of the largest databases of health and human services in Virginia. 211 Virginia helps in the areas of basic needs, health, jobs, education, older adults, family support and more.
United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg supports 211 Virginia and employs a 211 Regional Outreach Specialist at our headquarters in Richmond. Learn more about 211 Virginia at 211virginia.org.
