Virtual Kindergarten Countdown Camp

Adapting to a virtual learning environment

Our 2020 virtual Kindergarten Countdown Camp ran from July 6-30, 2020 and included the same elements that made the previous year’s camp so successful. From weekly workshops with parents to new books and supplies for students, this program continued to help more young children prepare for the school year ahead — something that was particularly important during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Who could participate?

Virtual Kindergarten Countdown Camp was designed for students and families in Dinwiddie County. Certain hands-on aspects of the program, such as virtual office hours with teachers and school supplies, were available only for families in Dinwiddie.

However, the program resources below were available and free for anyone to use. Families from across our service area were encouraged to take advantage of these tools to help prepare their child for kindergarten.
