KCC: Get Involved
United Way’s Kindergarten Countdown Camp is a free summer learning program for rising kindergarten students with limited to no preschool experience. Taught by licensed teachers, Kindergarten Countdown Camp prepares students and their parents for a successful start in kindergarten.
How to Get Involved
We rely on community support to make sure students in Kindergarten Countdown Camp are ready to start school in the fall. Here’s how you can help:
Donate Books
You can support Kindergarten Countdown Camp by donating books! We need to raise 560 books by July 1st to support Kindergarten Countdown Camps this summer. Send your book directly to us at United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg through our Amazon Wishlist or share our preferred booklist. You can also make a financial donation to the drive to help us by the books in bulk. Email Leanne Lytle (lytlel@yourunitedway.org) to learn more.
