I’m interested in running a workplace campaign. How do I get started?
Running a workplace campaign is easy, and it’s one of the best ways for your employees to help make a lasting impact in the community. Workplace campaigns can be straightforward – simply ask employees to complete pledge forms that designate an ongoing payroll deduction or a one-time gift. Some companies choose to turn their campaigns into team-building exercises, with events and challenges and occasions for volunteering. Whatever you decide to do, you can count on United Way to work with you with staff support and a campaign toolkit. To get started, click here.
Where can I get help in accessing various local services and programs, whether it be for basic immediate or more long-term needs?
Our 2-1-1 help line is staffed by a United Way specialist 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and can help you find the assistance you need. The service is free and confidential and is available in 140 different languages. In addition to basic needs, 2-1-1 also can refer you to information on physical and mental health services, worker training programs, services for children and seniors as well as volunteer opportunities.
How can my agency become a United Way partner?
United Way makes grant awards as part of a three-year funding cycle, with first-year grantee organizations eligible to apply for grant renewals in subsequent years. Qualifying agencies are welcome to apply at the beginning of the next funding cycle in 2018. To determine whether your 501(c)3 organization qualifies for support, contact us.
Can you provide a listing of the current local agencies receiving partner support from the United Way?
United Way works with dozens of local nonprofit agencies, some of which receive direct financial support while others do not. The list of current grantee agencies receiving direct, non-designated support from United Way is here.

Does United Way provide direct financial support to Planned Parenthood?
