Strengthening Skills for Career Success

Join us for Strengthening Skills for Career Success – a series of virtual workshops to support the development of career-readiness skills of young people in our region. Volunteer to work with teens and support them with developing a résumé, practicing interview skills, utilizing job-finding platforms and developing other related soft skills. 

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance

United Way’s Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program offers free tax preparation for families and individuals with income of $56,000 or less. Our team of staff and volunteers prepare income tax returns for qualifying families and individuals and ensures that tax returns are accurate and everyone receives their full refund.

Little Free Libraries

Having access to learning resources outside the classroom is critical. United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg builds and installs Little Free Libraries throughout our region in partnership with various community organizations to support students along the Steps to Success.
