Share Your Table

Every plate tells a story.

Confront Hunger & Housing Needs in Our Region

Every person deserves food on their plate and a safe place to call home. Yet today, thousands of families, older adults, and neighbors across our region are struggling to meet these most basic needs.

Hunger and homelessness are not isolated issues. They are deeply interconnected crises shaped by financial instability, rising costs, lack of affordable housing, health challenges, and unexpected emergencies. And because these challenges overlap in people’s lives, the solutions must be interconnected too.

That’s why United Way Greater Richmond and Petersburg is launching #ShareYourTable – a regional effort to raise awareness, highlight urgent needs, and mobilize our community to take meaningful action.

Through this campaign, United Way is bringing together trusted nonprofit partners, local leaders, businesses, and donors to strengthen our food access network, support shelter and housing providers, and drive long-term system change.

And right now, thanks to a generous United Way board member, all gifts to this effort are matched up to $5,000, doubling our impact for neighbors who need it most.
