Celebrating Publix Appreciation Day

United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg is celebrating its partnership with local Publix Super Market stores on Publix Appreciation Day, March 17, 2022. 

Publix has been a long-time supporter of local United Ways across eight states for more than four decades, beginning in 1979. Publix is currently operating 16 stores throughout our service area. 

“We are deeply appreciative of Publix’s generous support and commitment to helping our community,” said James L.M. Taylor, President & CEO of United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg. “In just five years, Publix has established itself as one of our most committed local partners. I am grateful for the opportunity to extend our appreciation to all Publix associates this week.”  

Publix Super Markets is one of many companies across the Richmond and Petersburg region that have chosen to partner with our local United Way to help communities across the region. Support from corporate partners like Publix enables us to invest in dozens of local nonprofits and run a variety of programs that tackle a range of community needs.
